How to Adjust Your Beauty Routine For Spring
It seems as though springtime is finally making its appearance, ushering in longer days, lighter layers and warmer temperatures. While we’re firm believers in keeping a beauty routine that’s simple and seasonless – with eXO Face acting as a reliable foundation – we admittedly do make some adjustments to account for the warmer temperatures.
Ahead, we’re sharing of them. Read on!
START BY SUBTRACTING
Chances are you’ve accumulated quite a collection of beauty and skincare products throughout the winter months. (Who hasn’t purchased a lipstick to shake the wintertime blues?) Use the start of the new season to conduct an audit of your cabinet, tossing anything you haven’t used in the pass three months, stowing away any heavy wintertime moisturizers and replace them with adaptive eXO Face. This new, clean slate is a great base to create a lighter, cleaned-up beauty regimen.
DO SOME CLEAN UP
After you’ve tossed any old or little-used products, take care to literally clean up your beauty cabinet. This means disinfecting brushes and sponges, wiping down surfaces and generally cleaning out any gunk. Because who says spring cleaning is just about scrubbing floors and cleaning out closets.
CHANGE YOUR PALETTE
If you’re getting more sunshine – and we hope you are! – chances are you might need to adjust things like your foundation, blush and bronzer. Modify the colors and tones you are using accordingly; after all, there’s nothing worse than killing a bit of golden glow with a pasty-looking foundation.
ADD IN SOME SUNSCREEN
Along those lines, some of the worst burns we’ve ever gotten have happened in the throes of a sunny, carefree springtime Sunday. Because you’ve probably engaged in some vampire-like behavior over the winter months, your skin is incredibly vulnerable at this time – take care to protect it. We’re big fans of Suntegrity’s non-nano mineral sunscreen, but find whatever works for you and apply it when in the sunshine… after eXO, of course.
